Transpotec 2026
It was a great pleasure and pride for me to attend the show as Vice President of FAI Traslochi, located in the FAI pavilion.
FAI Traslochi is the latest trade association in the industry. Formed about two years ago following the split from Fedetraslochi, its goal is to help all movers manage and resolve the often repetitive and burdensome daily challenges of our work.
Despite our young age, we have achieved a significant milestone in the Metropolitan City of Turin: thanks to numerous working groups between the Municipality and our association, the entire process for requesting permits to occupy public land for moving purposes has been digitalized.
The process, operational for about a year, has significantly simplified requests, saving companies time and money and eliminating the need to physically visit the Municipal Police offices to drop off and pick up documentation. At the same time, it has also made things easier for the public body, which can now manage the entire process without having to resort to patrols to verify the installation of no-parking signs and other critical issues.
In the near future, with the help of the City of Turin, we would like to replicate this system in other municipalities across the country.
During the meetings dedicated to movers, held last Thursday during the Show, we addressed other very important issues for the sector, particularly the disposal of customers’ furniture and furnishings, in direct discussions with the president of the FAI special “waste disposal” section.
Very interesting insights emerged that we will explore further in the coming months to provide concrete answers to the industry.
In the second meeting, we discussed the new EU rules for removals: even vehicles weighing 3.5 tons will be required to equip themselves with the latest-generation digital tachographs by July, also clarifying some misinformation circulating online.
FAI Traslochi will soon organize a webinar on this topic, open to all.
