]]> The relocation of the historical archives and library of the Baruffi Technical Institute, an institution with a history of over 150 years, is nearly complete.

The service, in addition to the preparation, cataloging, packing, and transportation of the ordered materials, included a preliminary search of the existing historical documentation. This operation was performed by a Professional Archivist, with a final report submitted to the Piedmont Archival Heritage Authority.

]]> Moving a late 19th-century bookcase using a crane and specialized equipment.

Sometimes, during a renovation, you think about a hundred things to ensure a successful outcome, but then an oversight occurs, and that’s the problem… the newly renovated premises no longer have the space needed to accommodate the piece. Thanks to our experience, specialized staff, and the equipment we provided, the problem was solved with an exit and an entry through two windows positioned in the roof. We used a crane to sling the entire bookcase, previously packaged with special materials, and a crane.

In sintesi i numeri di riferimento di tale trasferimento: Biblioteca; 71.300 volumi circa; periodici di 188 testate (La Stampa, LA Repubblica, L'Espresso, Panorama, ecc.); 7.000 circa pubblicazioni digitali (CD, DVD, ecc.). Archivio Storico; 1.100 faldoni tra cui 8 pergamene del XV-XVI secolo; 18 tavole della mappa catastale Napolonica (del 1.800); bollettini del Governo Napoleonico; diverse cinquecentine oltre a 1.500 faldoni dell'Archivio Storico moderno. Il trasferiemnto nella nuova, bellissima ed ampia sede Bibliotecaria e' stato effettuato con i ns. addetti specializzati con l'utilizzo di automezzi imbottiti ed atterzzature apposite per la movimentazione dei patrimoni librari e documentali.

]]> The transfer of the Civic Library’s book holdings and the documentary holdings of the Historical Archives of the Municipality of Settimo Torinese (Turin) has been completed. The key figures for this transfer are: Library; approximately 71,300 volumes; periodicals from 188 publications (La Stampa, LA Repubblica, L’Espresso, Panorama, etc.); approximately 7,000 digital publications (CDs, DVDs, etc.). Historical Archives; 1,100 folders, including eight parchments from the 15th-16th centuries; 18 plates of the Napoleonic cadastral map (dating back to 1800); bulletins of the Napoleonic Government; several sixteenth-century manuscripts, as well as 1,500 folders from the modern Historical Archives. The transfer to the beautiful, spacious new Library building was carried out with our support. specialized personnel using padded vehicles and specific equipment for the movement of book and document assets.

]]> The relocation of the Museo Studio del Tessuto and the Antonio Raffi Foundation in Como from their old headquarters to their new location at Via Cernobio, 17, has been completed. The service, carried out on behalf of the CNT, took approximately three weeks to move the offices, all the fabrics, pieces, and samples—many of which are of particular historical and economic interest and value—and the two libraries within the museum.

The move, carried out on behalf of the C.N.T. National Consortium of Removalists, took place in August of this year.
